RED is the second “space(s)” from the “color spaces” series by QUADRA.

WHAT ARE SPACES?
We like to use the word “space(s)” to describe being in the quadraphonic sound field as it is much different than a traditional listening experience. “Being in the sound field is like discovering new colors that one didn’t know existed”

WHAT IS THE COLOR SERIES?
The Color Series aims to break free from the cultural bias, social baggage, and preconceived notions that often come with naming music. In an ideal world, we wouldn't need to name what we do, but unfortunately, that's not the world we live in. Naming music/art often results in automatic assumptions and expectations, which we hope to avoid with the Color Series. The Color Series uses a nondescript concept like color to allow listeners to attach their own meaning or even no meaning at all. Now we’ve said to much…

WHAT IS RED?
Recorded on October 13th, 2022, RED was created in preparation for our upcoming event at Stay Strange. The music you hear on the recording was improvised in one take, without any preconceived ideas of what was going to unfold. Although we added to the recording later, we never edited the original material, adhering to some rules of engagement inspired by our own light-hearted version of a "Dogme95" manifesto.
